An Refkeratometer is a computer-controlled machine used during an eye examination to provide an objective measurement of a person's refractive error and prescription for glasses or contact lenses. This is achieved by measuring how light is changed as it enters a person's eye. The majority of autorefractors calculate the vision correction a patient needs (refraction) by using sensors that detect the reflections from a cone of infrared light.
The Refkeratometer automatically determines the correction needed to place your "focus point" on top of the retina, the light-sensitive area at the back of the eye responsible for correctly processing images. The measurement taken by an Refkeratometer can be translated into a prescription for eyeglasses.
An Refkeratometer Focus light into the eye, measuring how it changes as it bounces off the back of the eye retina. Then, the patient is shown an image that moves in and out of focus. The Refkeratometer automatically determines the correction needed to place your "focus point" on top of the retina, the light-sensitive area at the back of the eye responsible for correctly processing images.

Improved side flaps,head rest and chin rest
Side flaps mounted to each side of the measurement window enabling to block out the light realizes high accuracy. The modified shapes of the forehead rest and the chin rest help to minimize stress of the patient.

The completely redesigned joystick with the shape and top button allows the operator to control the unit with more precise and instinctive movement.
